This Cognac Cask Finish Limited Edition is made from the same blend as the normal Rammstein Rum and therefore contains rum from Jamaica, Trinidad and Guyana with a maximum age of 12 years. The difference is that this rum has undergone an extra maturation of 9 months in ex-Cognac barrels.The result is a drier, but fruity and balanced rum. The unmistakable nose of the Jamaican rum immediately emerges. The extra maturation in Cognac barrels in turn ensures a long finish of dried fruit and grapes.
Nose: The nose offers you the typical Jamaican 'funkiness' with scents of fermented exotic fruits such as papaya, banana and pineapple. Here and there you may also notice hints of almonds.
Taste: In the taste palette you will be treated to sweet and buttery flavors with aromas of fresh vanilla and yellow apples.
